Intro Sessions

This is the essential introduction for those new to paddle boarding , giving you a quality 3 hour session with one of our qualified instructors. The lesson provides you with the foundations, knowledge and technical skills to excel at Stand up Paddle boarding. It’s a fun session and will leave you wanting to get out there and practice your new skills. (Under 16’s must be with a participating adult.)Not suitable for Children Under 12

For groups and families with children under 12 we recommend a Private session.

Derwentwater, in the northern Lake District is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Lake District, situated next to the  market town of Keswick. It’s many shelter bays and islands make it ideal for learning to Stand up paddle.

The Derwent water Private SUP session is a guided paddle boarding experience built around you. Ideal for groups of friends, family groups or families with young children. The session is can accommodate 4 to 7 paddlers.

The Guided Private SUP session is tailored to your needs. From a basic family SUP introduction, SUP adventure with picnic or technical SUP skills session for paddlers looking to improve their skills.

As part of the session each participant will be provided with a red paddle co board, buoyancy aid and adjustable paddle. We also supply dry bags for your picnic and our instructor will be on hand to guide, coach and keep you safe. Helping you get the most out of your SUP adventure.

Wet suits can be hired at an additional cost of £5.

For the 2024 Season we will be offering a limited number of Private SUP session from Waterhead, Ambleside. If you don’t find availability on the date you want, drop us a line as we have  the capacity to add a few more dates.
