Derwentwater Lake SUP Tour

The Derwentwater Lake SUP Tour is designed for people with some paddling experience and we adapt the content to suit your needs and experience.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding tours offer a totally unique way to take in the breath-taking scenery of Derwentwater and the  Lake District Fells. Our expert guides will take you on a voyage of discovery to the most stunning locations on the lake, taking in the views of Borrowdale, and the surrounding mountains, learning about the landscape and history of this most ancient of lakes. On route we also take time to help you develop your paddling skills and learn new techniques. Our tours are relaxed affairs, so it’s always worth bringing drinks and snacks for a mini picnic on one of the many islands of Derwentwater.

If you’re looking for a sociable, fun, informative and memorable stand up paddle boarding “SUP” experience in the heart of the Lake District you’re in the right place.

As part of the session each participant will be provided with a i SUP paddleboard, PDF buoyancy aid, paddle and safety leash. We also supply dry bags and we recommend bringing a flask and a snack. The session is fully guided and our instructor will be on hand to keep you safe and help you get the most out of your lake based adventure.

(Under 16’s must be with a participating adult.) Not suitable for Children Under 14.

For groups and families with children under 12 we recommend a Private session.

Our wetsuits can be hired at an additional cost of £5. Alternatively you can bring your own.

The Coniston Water SUP Tour is designed for people with some paddling experience and we adapt the content to suit your needs and experience.

Our expert guides will take you on a paddle boarding voyage of discovery to the most stunning locations on the lake, taking in the views, learning about the landscape and history of this stunning lake. On route we also take time to help you develop your paddling skills and learn new techniques. Our tours are relaxed affairs, so it’s always worth bringing drinks and snacks for a mini floating picnic.

SUP River Trip (Derwentwater)

The SUP river trip will help you take your paddling on to moving water. It is for experienced paddle boarders who want to learn how to paddle safely on Rivers. On the trip we cover all the safety considerations and skills and equipment necessary to successful paddle on Rivers up to grade 2. As part of the session you will be guided down the beautiful River Derwent in the heart of the Lake District. (Under 16’s must be with a participating adult.) Not suitable for Children Under 14

Advanced SUP Skills session

This is the chance to take your paddling skills up a level. The Advanced SUP Skills session is designed for existing paddlers who want to build on their experience and knowledge. The session will include: Trip planning, wind and weather assessment, equipment and safety, using forecasts and terrain influences to maximise your enjoyment and safety. The session will also cover equipment management, carrying, inflating and launching, towing and rescues and incident management as well as advanced paddling techniques.    (Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.)

For groups and families with children under 14 we recommend a Private session.

Wet suits can be hired out at £5 pp.
